How to read Instagram Impressions & Insights?

Investing on Instagram is no longer a question. As you know, Instagram is now one of the main online marketing channels for many companies worldwide.

Every business account on Instagram can access Insights about the account itself and the posts shared.

I’m listing below Instagram metrics and the details you should know, in order to read the results of the content shared with the public.

These metrics are important as they show us which post performs best, and which one is driving the highest number of results. It will give us ideas on the type of content that is most engaged.

Note: The insights of the account can be found right on the Profile page, or inside the main menu. As for the post insights, you just have to click on “View Insights” and the below pages appears.

Reach: The number of unique users that saw your Instagram post or story.

Profile visits: The number of visits received after people saw your post.

Follows: The number of followers received after people saw the posts (results of the post).

Impressions: The number of times your content, whether a post or a story, was shown to users.

- From Hashtags: the number of times people saw your post from the hashtags used.

- From Home: the number of times people saw your post in their news feed.

- From Profile: the number of times people saw your post when they entered your profile.

- From Others: it’s about the impressions received from the shares and other possible sources.

The above metrics are the basics of Instagram insights, and you have plenty of metrics to look on; we will surely discuss them in future posts.
